Reawakening Memories Part One (よみがえる記憶・上巻 Yomigaeru Kioku – Jōkan?) is the seventh OVA of the Ranma ½ anime.

While watching television, Akane suddenly remembers a family trip to Ryugenzawa when she was a small child. While there she was saved from a giant platypus by Shinnosuke. Akane travels back to Ryogenzawa and once again meets Shinnosuke, who falls in love with her. Akane blames herself for Shinnosuke's life-threatening injuries, and decides to stay and help out.[1]

Quotes Edit

Trivia Edit

  • Upon discovering the letter, Genma muses that he never thought that Akane would run away. This is somewhat erroneous with what occurred in the events of the previous two OAVS (granted those were technically filler; but still).
  • In the English version, the giant frilled lizards makes roars provided by Frank Welker (using Sharptooth effects from the Land Before Time movies). In the Japanese version they make bizarre "oyashiku" noises.
  • In the manga, instead of being pets, the Ryugenzawa animals were actually creatures in a zoo where Shinnosuke's grandfather worked at. Eventually they grew too large and destructive for the enclosures and the old man was forced to release them into the wilds.
