The Rakkyosai Arc is the 82nd story arc of the Ranma ½ manga, spanning three chapter. It was included as part of Volume 31 of the Weekly Shōnen Sunday tankōbon and volume 29 of the Viz Media tankōbon.
Plot Summary[]
A small boy named Rakutaro is found to be stealing panties in the girls' locker room. He appears next to Happosai and becomes his disciple with the claim that his great grandfather Rakkyosai requested it of his old friend Happosai. Ranma begins suspecting him to be more than just a child due in part to his speech and his masterful calligraphy[1].
He later finds the child rummaging through Happosai's things in search of Brocade Butterfly. The item in question is eventually found when Happosai finds it in a box and presents it as a gift to Akane. The Brocade Butterfly turns out to be a 7 colored inkstick, but why Rakutaro is searching for it so much eludes Ranma. During a fight to possess the inkstick, Ranma crashes into a bathhouse, revealing Rakutaro's true identity: Happosai's long lost friend Rakkyosai[2]. Ranma soon discovers that the technique that the inkstick requires is merely used to get breast prints for perverts. When Rakkyosai and Happosai team up, Ranma runs out of options. She gives them each a sheet of breast print which they believe come from her. Unknown to them, the prints actually come from a local Tanuki statue[3].
